How did you become a designer?
I've been a knitter since I was nine. I followed this passion to Parsons School of Design in NYC. I've worked for many major companies as a knitwear designer and finally have launched a knitwear business of my own, liaMolly, which is named after my kids Liam and Molly. We’re based in the city that inspires me most, New Orleans .
What’s your inspiration?
Nature, art, fibers, yarns, patterns of all sorts for stitches. Coco Chanel, fashions past and present and New Orleans .
What’s your hometown?
If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be?
The Thalia Dress because it is flattering on everyone, and you can wear it everywhere. I also like the Jacqueline Cardigan because it is so New Orleans .
What are you wearing right now?
I'm about to go to my studio on my Vespa, so aviator glasses, the Janette sweater from our winter collection, vintage jeans, and boots.
