Had a fantastic day in Stillwater with Andy and the girls. I love this charming town filled with boutiques, antique shops, and galleries. It's located on the bluffs of the St.Croix River. We stopped at an Italian restaurant for lunch and then walked around for about an hour, we then drove to Hudson to pick up fireworks for the 4th (big ones legal in WI).

Dan & Katie over for fun on the lake

Dan & KatieOur friends Dan & Katie came over to hang out on the wave runners today and dinner after. They are a fun couple and I wish they would come over more often because they are super adventurous and up for a good time. Dan is an old friend of mine whom I had a brief affair with years ago. Katie is his young girlfriend (20 years younger). She's super sweet and very good for Dan. I think she keeps him on task, grounded and very happy. The four of us rode around the lake and ran into a group of gay guys on a boat (GOOD SHIP LOLLIPOP). They are friends of Dan's- a very fun group of dancing boys. We had a few drinks and got back on our sleds and went onto Lord Fletchers (a party bar on the lake). On our way there, in the middle of the lake Andy made a sharp turn and I flipped off the sled and landed in the lake. It was funny for a minute but the humor wore off when I couldn't get back on the sled. Ok, so I finially got my big ass onto the sled and we moved onward. We arrive at Fletchers which surrounds a lagoon with lot's of boats docked. The deck is so fantastic, with tables for outdoor seating, a big bar, and great music. It's a great place for people watching and a great place to be seen pulling up in fancy boats. Well....We find a spot to park our sleds (in the front) and my job was to get up on the dock and help Andy tie it up. I lose my balance and some how (after 3 drinks) end up in the lagoon. I scream, make a scene and scream for Andy not to let me fall in. He grabs me by my bikini top and yanks me back up to the sled. OMFG how embarrassing!!!! Not only was every one who witnessed it clapping and yelling but my friends were laughing so hard- it was so horrible!

Happy Birthday Mama

Dinner at Bacio tonight with our families for my mama's birthday. We had a great time- the kids stayed at home so we could have a nice adult time with family and friends.

I love my mama so much!!!!

How do you find the energy, Mama
To do all the things you do?
I never understood how you were a chauffeur, teacher, cook, friend, nurse and confidant to me when I was a kid and still all these years?
I now see it was love, Mama
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mama
And I thank you for it all.

Now let's talk about my dad-
this trick has gotten him through 60 years of laughs (his own and people under that age of 8). How does one realize that they can balance spoons on their noses? Such talent!

Michael Jackson "Thriller" Tribute

This is the greatest tribute to Michael Jackson. I love this video of 1,500 + inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines.

BEND IT

Soccer

This is the last day of soccer. I am glad it's over- it's getting really hot out and the girls a sweating! I am so proud of Lola and how well she has played and payed attention to what's going on during the game instead of how she started the year off by bending over to pick flowers. This is Lola's first team sport and I hope that she'll do good at and enjoy it because it's great exercise and it's a super way to make friends. WAY TO GO GIRL!

Emma Watson Teen Vogue

The Harry Potter starlet, is the new face of Burberry. She's designing with the help of Karl Lagerfeld a clothing line designed exclusively for teens AND donating every penny earned UNICEF. Not only beautiful, talented but a philanthropist. What designer is she wearing here?
LOVE LOVE LOVE it! --------------->
On acting in the future:
"There's not, like, a burning passion in me that I have to act and I don't care what I do. Until something comes along that I feel as strongly about as I did Hermione—like, I felt that it was life or death—I don't want to act again." {Emma Watson}

Big Island Camp

Today was Josh's first day of Big Island Camp on Lake Minnetonka.
It's a week long camp that is located on the Island- we drop them off at Mtka Yaught Club and the kids take a boat to the island.
They spend the day there, exploring, collecting rocks, searching for arrow heads, and learning about nature.
This camp rocks!!!!!
I highly recommend it, it's sounds like so much fun- Josh had such a great time, he wanted to go again another week and he's not such a outdoor dude.

Father's day bedtime

Father's day dinner

My mom and aunt Jenya made dinner for our families for Father's Day at our house. I've been doing father's day for 8 years, Andy's sister does Mother's Day. We hired a Georgian chef to grill dinner- I wish I took pictures of what he made- so good! Look at the pictures below of the yummy apps they made.

We planned on eating in the backyard on the lake but the weather was so unpredictable that we had to bring it inside...not the same!

Me and Mo

Maureen and Jeff came over tonight and we went cruzing around on the lake. Had dinner and drinks on the boat- so much fun! They are a fun couple that we love getting together with...endless laughing, loads of funny stories, and a budding bromance (Andy and Jeff).

Day at Ikea

We went to Ikea to buy fold out chairs for our father's day brunch we are having tomorrow. I love it there but Andy has panic attacks when we walk around- he can't stand the maze- I think it's brilliant strategies- keeps you walking in circles keeping you a prisoner, in hopes you find one more unnecessary thing you may think you need.

The girls loved playing here- there's so much to do, so much to see, so much stuff!

Water Sprinkler

We had a such great night. Lola had a soccer game tonight. I'm not sure if they won or not but it was fun watching the kids play. Lola has amazed me at how well she has done this season- I hate to admit this but I didn't have a lot of confidance in her because the very first day she stopped to pick up flowers while she was kicking the ball during practice. She has shown that she is a great team athlete and she has a bit of skill. Lola isn't a natural born athlete but I think within time with some guidance she may surprise us all.

To get back to our evening...

We met our friends and their kids at the country club for dinner (Tyson also had a soccer game). Awesome dinner, well behaved children, perfect warm night out. After dinner we went out back to the golf course so the kids could run off some last minute energy before we went home for showers and bed. All of a sudden as they are playing all the sprinklers on the course turn on and our kids ran for it. Now when I'm talking sprinklers they are giant sprinklers- they were drenched and we didn't care...hearing how excited they were- was so worth it.
