Walked into my bathroom the other day and found Sasha in my make up and wearing my shower cap. My first reaction was to get annoyed but then I realized just how tempting mommy's make up is. For being such a wild girl, Sasha is so girly- loves purses, high heeled shoes, & now MAC.

This day makes me proud to have daughters...

Fresh Blooms

I love flower arrangements and I would love to learn how to make these pretties. I wish every room of my house would have a fresh floral display. I have a girlfriend who had Calla Lillies delivered to her house every Thursday. What a spoiled girly....I am so jealous!

Oh Lola

Oh Lola

Lola and I designed this today. Lola is becoming a great little artist, she loves to paint, color, collect, and scrapbook with me...I get so excited thinking about having a great partner to work with for years to come! I love that she is ultra girly and that she can pick an outfit from head to toe. She knows her color combinations and how to accessorize. I love this fashionista!!!!

First nice day of...

Spring
Lola had a dress rehearsal for her ballet/tap class a few nights ago.
She did a great job- she's so damn cute!
I would love for her to be a ballerina but I think she may be more of a
contemporary dancer.

Afterward we met the Lome's and went on their boat for a cruise and dinner.
It was the first ride of the season.
The ice just melted on the lake a day ago...

It was a long winter, so getting out today on the lake was amazing!

Sidewalk painting with my girls

It's the start of spring and the girls and I went to the toy store and bought sidewalk paint. We had a fun time making paintings on the sidewalk in front of our house. Sasha went a bit nuts and started painting all over herself and her clothes...she was totally covered. I know you don't find this too hard to believe from all of the other stories I have told you about my girl.

I am so excited for spring- I am sick of long Minnesota winters! We were couped up all winter that it's so glorious to get out and play. Look at the trees in the background of the the pictures...no leaves on the trees....bring it on already!!!!!!

Playdate

Lola and Sasha had a play date today with a few girls from school. Mae and her family are from Japan and the girls met at Lola's Jewish nursery school.
The girls all played so great together- I'm super glad Lola has found a sweet little girl to play with.

Sasha was so funny today-
she stripped her clothes off, climbed into the car seat, sat on the babies leg's to pose for a picture, and pulled the nookie out of the babies hand.
I'm so proud of her!!!!

Lola was prancing around the house today...I think she's getting ready for the snow to melt on the lake and the trees to bloom, and the sky to turn from gray to blue.

I hope you don't have to wait to long babe!

Quirks/obsessions/or superstions

1. close all doors in a room
2. put toilet seats down
3. lift feet before walking out of the house for travel
4. if i return home after forgetting something i look at myself in the mirror
5. never put trash in the garbage can at night
6. position all labels side out
7. touch airplane logo 3 times and step onto plane with right foot
8. never whistle indoors
9. always know where the exit is
10. fix crocked frames- everywhere i go
11. no touching escalator's
    
12. no touching elevator buttons
13. open doors with napkin
14. pump gas with napkin
15. if it smells bad don't eat it
16. won't put my purse on the floor because it is bad luck for your finances.
17. wash kids feet before they get into bed
18. any lights not in use must be turned off
19. i cant go to sleep with any doors open, closet, & bathroom
20. chairs always have to be fully pushed and and aligned with the table
21. my throw pillows always have to be properly arranged on my couches
22. bed pillows have to be put away in order...hubbies pillows on the bottom
23. kitchen towels have to be hung even and neatly folded at all times, same with bathroom towels
24. all fingerprints have to be cleaned off the fridge and appliances, at all times. Same with switch plates
25. my hangers always have to be spaced evenly
26. clothes all have to be facing the same direction in closet according to style and color
27. dresser drawers have to be fully closed
28. no licking fingers
29. tag of the quilt always has to be at the bottom of the bed
30. I can't drink from a water fountain
31. i LOATHE being sticky
    
    i may not be quirky but have OCD-------> i am scared

FUZZY FRIENDS

Lola has a bunny who we call Zychick. It's Russian for BUNNY. Andy came home with her when Lola was a few months old. I remember being so annoyed with him that he got her a stuffed animal because I'm not the biggest fan of them. For 5 years now, Zychick has not left her side. The only time she's not with her is when she's outside of the house. All of our friends and family know Zychick as she has become one of the the members of our family and I don't know what we will do without her. I wonder when the day will be that Lola will be brave enough not to bring her on a sleepover. I will be the first to cry that day because that day my little girl will become a brave big girl.
