Nothing Better

zs : Nothing better than laying in bed with kids on a day off watching Sponge Bob.

zs : Nothing better than being excited for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night.

zs : Nothing better than listening to my kids imaginary conversations.

zs : Nothing better than opening up the windows and letting a crisp breeze into our home.

zs : Nothing better than booking a trip to Denver next week to listen to Andy speak in front of a room full of investors and Breckenridge to ski.

zs : Nothing better taking a deep breath.

zs : Nothing better than dreaming about my next house.

zs : Nothing better than procrastinating on projects by reorganizing my studio.

zs : Nothing better than the feeling I get from cleaning out/purging/organizing my studio.

zs : Nothing better than the price of gold at $1183.80

i {heart}

Lilia
from

flea market studio.

So gorgeous.
I love the wings, love the lace, love the polka dots.

Her work is so beautiful, shabby, vintagy layers of love. I've looked at her etsy shop and it's filled with such goodies- run and check it out!

I loved looking at her art journals that were made with her daughter in mind. They are filled with pages and memories of her little girl growing up surrounded by pink, blue, lace, and feathers. Lilia has preserved the memories in such a sweet way...get's me inspired to try and organize myself to do the same with my children.

Oh, here's her blog fleamarketstudio.typepad.com when you are done with looking at her etsy shop, check out the blog.

Pictures of family, beach, pumpkins...it's worth stopping by after a long day of working, grab a glass of wine, cup of tea, or a sparkling water and check out the works of Lilia.

I hope one day you'll walk the same path your daddy has.
I hope one day you'll have the same great memories your daddy has had.

i {heart} monica bellucci

This is an old photograph that I found on one of my favorite sites for inspiration...http://nickdrake.tumblr.com/page/30. It's Monica Bellucci and she is an Italian actress who has been in several movies. She's 45 years old and STUNNING! Her most memorable movie (i think) was she was Mary Magdalene in The Passion of the Christ (Heavy). I love this photograph and I wish I knew who took it or what year it was taken in.

i {heart} sweaters by Seema Sudan

Lia Molly is a sweater collection for kids that is Designed Exclusively for Anthropologie. They carry it for children until 18 months...WHAT????? Hand knitted with eye-popping threads, the droolicious details of fabulous appliqués, over sized buttons, and velvet ribbons add to the charm of each piece.

Interview found on http://www.sheckys.com/designerlounge/48/liamolly
Designer: Seema Sudan
How did you become a designer?
I've been a knitter since I was nine. I followed this passion to Parsons School of Design in NYC. I've worked for many major companies as a knitwear designer and finally have launched a knitwear business of my own, liaMolly, which is named after my kids Liam and Molly. We’re based in the city that inspires me most, New Orleans.
What’s your inspiration?
Nature, art, fibers, yarns, patterns of all sorts for stitches. Coco Chanel, fashions past and present and New Orleans.
What’s your hometown?
New Orleans, LA but I am originally from Montreal.
If you had to pick a favorite design from your collection, what would it be?
The Thalia Dress because it is flattering on everyone, and you can wear it everywhere. I also like the Jacqueline Cardigan because it is so New Orleans.
What are you wearing right now?
I'm about to go to my studio on my Vespa, so aviator glasses, the Janette sweater from our winter collection, vintage jeans, and boots.
